deut. 4&5

S:Deut.4:31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
O: Oh man how merciful and faithful GOD is! His mercies are new every morning. He's faithful to keep His promises. Parents and spouses may abandon us. Family and friends may forsake us. Oh but our loving Father will never leave nor forsake us.
A: i can aim to be more like Christ and show more mercy towards others and with the help of the LORD to keep promises.
K: Father GOD, when it comes to how much mercy You've shown me in my life, words just can't express how grateful and thankful i am. I praise You for the mercy You've shown me. I worship You for Your faithfulness to thousands of generations. In Christ's Name, Amen.
S:Deut.5:4- The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
O&A: What stood out to me was that the LORD spoke to them face to face and out of the midst of the fire. He still speaks today. The Bible days that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Sometimes through trials (fire) in life, we feel that GOD has left us and isnt speaking. That's not true. GOD has promised to never leave nor forsake us. Though He may seem quiet, the Teacher is always silent during a test. It's possible though that He may be speaking but we are too focused on the problem and not focused on the LORD. It could be too that He's speaking but it's in the lesson itself. Just as the LORD was with the 3 Hebrew children in the fire, He is with us as well. We need to only be still so we can hear His still small voice.
K: LORD, thank You that You still speak today and that You never change. Thank You that You are always with us in every condition of life whether it's through the sunshine or whether it's through the fire. When trials come, help me to stay focused on You and not the storm. In Jesus Name, Amen.
